The foreseen programme:
The first edition of the group EVS project Reach the Rainbow (Do duhy), which was selected as an example of good practice at European level of ´Intercultural dialogue´, was launched in 2007 and will be reconducted in summer 2009. The aims of this projet are to connect the different member organizations of Duha through EVS, and also to bring an international and intercultural dimension to them. The project will last four months, during which the volunteers will be co-hosted by one of Duha´s local groups in the first two months, thus acquiring an understanding of the value of international youth work on the local level, and by Duha central office in Praha in the second half of the project.
The first phase will involve the volunteers in the daily work of the local groups, whose activities differ depending on their field of work and environment they live and work in. The local groups are located in all the Czech republic, specially concentrated around the big towns such as Prague, Ostrava, Olomouc, Krnov, Plzen etc. The shared commonalities are pursuits of the youth and children involvement towards active participation in the society and meaningful spending of the free time. Therefore they organise summer camps and outdoor activities. The specific tasks of the volunteers will vary according to the needs of the local group each of them will be working with.
In the second phase, all the volunteers will be working together in Praha, in Duha´s central office, where their task will be to organize Duha events such as Duhova brana, the annual meeting of Duha´s member organizations.
The following tasks are foreseen:
* 2 weeks of preparation (information about EVS, Czech language classes, information on Duha, etc)
* 2 months in the local group, helping with summer camp activities
* 1,5 months in Duha main office in Prague, organizing Duha events and carrying out some administrative tasks
* Possibility to develop an own personal micro-project related to Duha and EVS project.
Profile required:
* Motivation to work with children and youth
* Flexibility and will to understand and communicate
* Basic English skills are mandatory, as this language is established as the common language between the EVS group

In Prague – single room in shared flat with cooking facilities
Pocket money: 105 euros as stipulated for Spain
Transport: Monthly ticket to travel in the city of Prague
